Our Cancellation terms

MJL Training will do everything possible to make sure a booked course goes ahead. If for any reason we cannot run the course on the agreed date such as the trainer being ill, we will offer alternative dates to reschedule the course.

If the client wishes to cancel or postpone the course then the following terms apply:

More than 10 complete working days notice (9am to 5pm) - No charge

6 to 10 complete working days notice there will be a 50% charge.

0 to 5 complete  working days notice - charged in full.

These are industry standard charges and represent the fact that most training is booked more than two weeks in advance of the training date. Late cancellations or postponements leave training companies with little chance of filling that date with another course.

If you need to postpone a course please contact MJL Training as soon as possible and with more than two weeks notice. Your booking form will be amended with the new date of training.

In circumstances where any of the requirements for onsite training have not been met  (See below), such as no suitable room or a lack of computers or laptops for delegates (and we discover this on the day of the course) — if rescheduling is required, the full cost of the original date will still be incurred.

If it has been found that any delegate can not meet the requirements of the course, they may be asked to leave the course and arrange suitable alternative training (with yourselves and us). This is considered the last resort, will always be done sensitively by the trainer and is not a common occurrence. Nevertheless, it may be necessary to ensure the course is delivered effectively to the remaining delegates. An example of this would be someone with very basic Excel knowledge attending an Excel advanced course.

On-Site Training terms

MJL Training delivers all face to face training at the customers site.

The client is required to ensure:

  • There is a suitable meeting room with enough space to accommodate all attendees and for the trainer to walk comfortably around, enabling them to assist each attendee as necessary.

  • Some form of projector and connection lead to enable the trainer to project their Laptop to the group. Additional equipment in the form of a whiteboard or flip chart would be helpful.

  • Our courses are very hands-on, so attendees must have a computer each with the relevant software loaded to allow them to participate fully in the course.

  • The room must have enough power points and extension leads to accommodate the charging of all machines.

  • Attendees should be prompt and free from interruption.

  • Attendees should be at the correct level for the training course.

Booking and how to make payment

In order to maintain our competitive prices, we require payment to be made in advance of the course. You will be sent an invoice the same day you book your course and to confirm the availability of the trainer and avoid any disappointment please pay promptly.

You can make payment by BACS or by cheque.
